Ashtown Recording Studios
Ashtown Recording Studios is set in a little farmhouse, right beside the Phoenix Park. It's run by musicians. Tommy O'Sullivan is a full time member of Estel, uber cool DIY noise guerillas, while also playing in the Evil Knievels. Then of course there's the solo projects (Deep In The Woods 66), and the occasional foray into collaborative work (Mike Watt, Steve MacKay, Radon Collective. In between all this, Tommy spends most of his time engineering in Ashtown Recording Studios. Dermot Lambert toured the known world with Blink until May 2007, and has released records throughout Ireland, UK, USA, Japan, Australia and Europe. Blink enjoyed healthy record sales, numerous Award Nominations, while playing alongside Oasis, Mercury Rev, Moby, The Verve, Crowded House to name just a few. Director of The Irish Youth Music Awards, Dermot has worked with some of the world's best producers, including Gil Norton (The Pixies), Steve Hillage (The Charlatans), John O'Neill (main man in The Undertones) and Howie Beno (founder member of Ministry, produced Blondie, Moby), and frequently brings this experience to selected sessions as producer. Dave Browne has also the toured the known world, most noteably with The Woods Band, which brought Dave into close working company with the late and lamented Ronnie Drew,Terry Woods (The Pogues), and The Dubliners. More recently, Dave is the main writing, performing, and producing part of the George Murphy team. George Murphy's 3rd album is due out in the summer of 2009. Dave does selected work in Ashtown as Musician and producer. Steve Browne runs a drum school in Ashtown. Steve also makes himself available to play drums and percussion on sessions. David Hughes plays keyboards, bass, guitar, tin whistle. Gavin Carpenter plays banjo, guitar, bass. It's a 15 minute drive from O'Connell Street, or you can get the bus (37, 38, 39...), or a train (get the Arrow from Connolly Station, and get off at Ashtown stop)....Go to The Half Way House Public house on The Navan Road, then head towards the Train Station, when you come to Ashtown Riding Stables, go in there and ask for us. That's where we live. We will be happy to quote for longer sessions to assist with budgeted work.
